Motorola's self-healing display

Hello friends, my name is Arjun Gupta and today we see- "A smartphone that can heal it's own cracked display over time".

Recently, Motorola company patent a polymer (shape memory polymer), if this glass break then it itself adapt its original shape through a process called thermal cycling.

Rapidly heating up this material will reverse the process and heal the cracks.

This material could be placed in LCD and LED display as a protective layer. According to Motorola, heat that release from any device has the capability to heal the screen and didn't need of external heat process.

While various stimuli can be applied to trigger the reaction, in many cases stimulation heat is used, thereby increasing the temperature of the material. "

As a result, the screen "can break some or all deformation and return to its original state," the patent said.

Of course, USPTO filing is just patented and this does not mean that Motorola will soon produce the phone with this display. But it shows that smartphone makers are thinking about new content and technology to fix common problems like crack screen.

Motorola has come up with the idea of self-treatment performance thinking about one day where smartphones can fix their losses. Motorola has recently filed a patent application for a self-treatment demonstration in the USPTO, which cures it when it is cracked. Patent application talks about an electronic device that contains a phosphorus and one or more thermal elements made of memory polymers that can be dealt with near phosphate. The thermal element can apply heat to the polymer to the shaped polymer with phosphate to repair damage after identifying damage.

Self-repair technology basically detects damage/breakdown on its performance by inbuilt damage detection device and informs the user. The user can then tap the damaged area using the fingers, while the heat from one or more thermal elements is disposed around the phone's display, which can be applied to the size of the display memory polymer to repair the damage. is. A display LCD or LED display can be used in which a capacitive touch sensor is mounted, as well as to understand or identify the position of the fingerprint.
Unfortunately, Motorola didn't install this display in smartphone because this will slow down there screen guard sell, which is the source of money for many company.

Hope this information helps you to initiate your knowledge, if any doubt please comment and follow my blog.

HOW TOUCH DISPLAY WORKS

Hello friends, my name is Arjun Gupta and today we learn about " HOW TOUCH DISPLAY WORKS ". Introduction- The present state of technologies in the world of electronics is that every electronic product got the touch display, which helps to operate this thing with ease. But have you wonder, how the touch display works, if yes, then great but if no, then do not worry, this blog will help you to learn, how to touch display works. The touchscreen is an input device so it should be combined with a computer and display device. Touchscreen basically includes- --> Touch screen sensor -->  Controller -->  Software driver What are the different types of technologies used in touch screen are:- 1.  Resistive touchscreen 2.  Capacitive touchscreen 3.  Surface Acoustic Wave(SAW) 4.  Infrared led touch screen Resistive touchscreen The resistive touch screen is made up of several flexible layers coated with t...

330 TB data in a 3 inch tape

Hello friends, my name is Arjun Gupta and today we see " IBM and SONY make a tape that can store 330TB of data ". The future of data storage is here: Magnetic Tape. Scientists of IBM Research have created a new world in space when the cartridge capacity in 2015 was 220 terabytes and 123 gigabytes per square inch. Availability by IBM comes as good news for cloud services, which need to be backed up and stored. From scientific research to security and surveillance video, extend the amount of information from large data applications all the time. To develop new tape-based storage prototypes and achieve 201 GB per square inch, IBM researchers had to develop many new technologies. With IBM working closely with Sony for several years, especially enabling enhanced internal recording density. IBM used its study and writing technology with Sony's "Spartered Magnetic Tape" to store the data. Springing involves coating the storage medium with various nano-met...

Cell phone without battery

Hello friends, my name is Arjun Gupta and today we see "A CELL PHONE WITHOUT BATTERY". Introduction- UW  engineers have designed the first battery free cellphone that can send and receive calls using a few microwatts of power. Phone company or manufacturers are continuously trying to create a new technology that can run long on a single battery charge but the team of engineering at the University of Washington (UW) has gone the extra step: They create a cell phone that does not need a battery to run cell phone basic function like calling obviously. The phone created by the engineers of UW does not look like original cell phone. It is a simple printed circuit board with the basic functionality of calling, including a microphone, number pad and headphone jack. But this typical circuit phone did not give you the feel of a real phone, but you do not have to worry about battery dead problem. Working of Battery-less cell phone- This is still uses the elec...
